Paddle, Poll & Roll - 03/19/11

Saturday, March 19, 2011, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

** Need at least one additional adult volunteer to chaperone/drive.

The Indian River Lagoon is North America’s most diverse estuary with more than 2,200 different species of animals and 2,100 species of plants! Come paddle the IRL as you learn basic kayaking skills. Enjoy the beautiful views while gliding the waters with trained, experienced guides leading the way. Explore “off the beaten path” trails of Round Island! Climb the observation towers to search for birds, fish, dolphin, manatees and more!

Registration fee includes kayak, paddle, and lifejacket rental. Kayaks will hold 1-4 people.
Group will be divided to accomplish all requirements for badge. This program fulfills all requirements for the “Paddle, Pole, & Roll” IP.

Expect to get wet! Bring a change of clothing, close toed shoes, and sunscreen (suggested). Note: playground and picnic facility on premises.

The girls decided on BELIZE as our country to represent this year!

** Please bring as many white water bottle caps as you can possibly scrounge up to this meeting. They are the backbone of our SWAPS!

We need to create our display board for our country, create our presentation (song/skit) decide on a stamp, and make our SWAPS as well as prepare our packing lists.
