Cookie Sale

Get to know more about the upcoming sale and let the girls explore
how they are "Starting Today"
by checking out the Little Brownie Bakers website.

INITIAL COOKIE SUPPLY MUST BE PICKED UP
NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY (1/19/11)

You may stop by my house on Wednesday anytime between 3p and 8p to pick-up your initial cookie order. If you absolutely cannot make it on Wednesday, please contact me to make arrangements to pick-up your order on Thursday. All orders MUST be picked up by Thursday.

Basic cookie sale information (please read carefully)…

ABOUT COOKIES:

• Cookies are $4.00 per box this year – first price increase in 7 years.

• No changes in the cookies this year – same cookies as last year.

BASIC INFORMATION:

• First and foremost: SAFETY comes first! Do not allow your girls to go out alone.

• You are responsible for all the cookies that you take. You may NOT take cookies and then wait until the final week of the sale to ‘turn them back in’ to the troop. You are financially responsible for every box of cookies you take.

• The troop will ONLY ACCEPT CASH payment for your cookies. If YOU choose to accept checks – please have the customer write the check to YOU (or cash) so that you may deposit the check and provide cash to the troop for your order.

• We will have a ‘troop’ stash of cookies that will be used for the booth sales. All booth sales will be divided evenly between the girls that participated.

• If you require additional cookies, please advise me as soon as possible so that we can maintain the inventory to satisfy all of your orders.

• Make sure your girls are dressed appropriately for representing Girl Scouts (uniforms & closed-toe shoes).

• Make sure that you remind your girls of appropriate behavior when selling at cookie booths. No running, horseplay, always thanking customers regardless of whether they purchase cookies or not, etc.

TIPS and TRICKS

• USE THE ONLINE TIPS & TRICKS found on the Little Brownie Baker website (cookie bundles, wagon signage, marketing & goal setting, etc.) www.LittleBrownie.com

• The number one place that customers WISH they could buy cookies? Their homes!! Get a mobile cookie booth (use that old wagon you’ve got hidden in the back of your garage) and start knocking on all the doors in your neighborhood.

• You can’t set up an online cookie sale – but you can sure ask all those folks who you communicate with on Facebook, Twitter, etc. to buy cookies from you or to stop by a booth that you’re attending (post your booth locations/dates/times on your FB status).

• Feel free to text all your local friends to find out where they’re getting their cookies this year.

• If customers don’t want cookies for themselves – offer Cookies for the Military (no physical boxes are purchased, but they are entered in online by the Cookie Sale Manager and money is collected for a traditional sale).

Cookie Booths:

Our troop has several cookie booth dates available (first-come, first-serve). If you would like to participate in a cookie booth sale (and haven’t signed up yet), please do so with me at the cookie pick-up. Each booth will require a minimum of 2 adult chaperones.

Cookie Booth Dates/Times/Locations will be determined at our Cookie Booth Lottery in January. I will send out the information on the booths as soon as it becomes available.

Additionally, if you know a local company that would allow us to set-up a booth outside of their business – please let me know so that we can discuss the opportunity.

Parent Volunteers:

I am in need of several parent volunteers for the following:

Cookie Booth Chaperones -- Will need to pick-up the cookie booth “set-up” (table, cash box, signage, cookie supply) for assigned booths as well as ensure that everything is returned to me after completion of the assigned booth. All money & cookies must be accounted for (and signed for) prior to release of the booth.

Cookie Rally Parents -- Spend an hour or so each week during the cookie sale to help create cookie bundles, cookie gift packs, cookie freezer packs, cookie sample set-ups for booths, etc.

Sign-up for these volunteer positions will be available at the same time they release the cookie booth dates.

ALL COOKIE MONEY MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2011.
I will be home from 3:00pm – 8:00pm to collect your final cookie balances.
